the Spatial Justice Design Collective (SJDC) uses architectural and urban design to investigate spatial approaches to challenge injustice.

Our three projects to date (late 2020) include:

1. an exhibit on colorblind racism in architecture

2. a student research grant to study ways design actions during social movement protests extend the efficacy of movements

3. a community impact grant to collaborate with Boulder's Trident Booksellers and Cafe in running participatory antiracist design exercisers with the Trident community

As these projects progress, we'll share more information here. Until then, reach out to shawhin@colorado.edu with questions and thoughts!
